Adding Salesforce.com Customfields in JIRA

Customfields can be added to JIRA for multiple reasons. These could include:

  • Displaying Salesforce.com data inside JIRA issues. (ie displaying Salesforce.com Account Numbers inside a JIRA issue)
  • Using the 'CASE Customfield' to link up Salesforce.com Cases with JIRA Issues (essential for synchronizing Salesforcs.com Cases with JIRA Issues when values gets updated in Salesforce.com Cases)

Once you have configured the plugin, you can then use the Custom Field Types that are installed with the plugin.

You must add the "Salesforce.com Case Custom field" OR "Salesforce.com Multiple Case Custom field" if you wish to use 'Sync to JIRA' or 'Save to JIRA' functionality.

You are also required to add mappings to some custom fields - please see here.

You can then add them to your issues, exactly the same way that JIRA treats its' own Custom Field types - http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/latest/customfields/addcustomfield.html

Configure Account Customfield Searcher (Optional)
