We're Glad We Can Help
We appreciate the fact that we're able to work day in day out serving customers and growing our business. We're also aware that every company has a role to play to contribute back to the community.
A few years ago, we donated some of our profits to a charity. Sure, it felt great for the day, as we signed the check and sent over some cash - but it wasn't until we realised what the charity did that really had us dumbfounded. From what we could tell, our money was spent building a website - hmm, something that we could have done.
Later that year, our CEO (Rob) had the pleasure of spending some time with a director and patron of a major charity. As usual, Rob asked a million questions mostly out of curiosity and came to realise that (unsurprsingly) charities are run like businesses and have very much the same issues in terms of integrating systems and collaborating with teams and the community. See Our Vision for more details.
At CustomWare, we focus on developing Enterprise 2.0 Integration and Collaboration solutions for our customers to make their organisations more efficient - saving costs and driving up the value of every dollar spent. It seemed a logical extension that we provide charities with more than just money - wouldn't it be better to invest our expertise to make them more efficient, and as a result, increase the value of every dollar that they receive from all their donors?
Over the last few years, we've donated, discounted and delivered our services together with other IT companies such as Atlassian and ProQuest to assist many Not-for-profit (NFP) organisations. Recent organisations/events that we've helped and supported include:
- Earth Hour Global/WWF-Australia
- National Breast Cancer Foundation
- Ronald McDonald House
- The Smith Family
If your Not-for-profit (NFP) organisation needs help and you think we can be of assistance, fill in a submission.
