How much does the JIRA plugin cost?
The cost is USD$995 per production JIRA server, per year. The purchase includes limited email support and future upgrades.
What does 'per year' mean?
Plugin purchases are based on subscription valid for 12 moths. Once the licence expires the plugin will continue to operate although a message will be displayed highlighting that a new licence is required
What version of JIRA does the Salesforce.com plugin support?
The Salesforce.com plugin supports JIRA versions 3.7 and above and will work with JIRA Professional, Enterprise and Unlimited Editions
When purchasing a licence is there a limit to the amount of users supported?
There is no limit to the amount of users supported as the license is based on a per production JIRA server that connects to Salesforce.com. As all users in JIRA share the same SFDC account for browsing entities this allows for unlimited users
Does CustomWare accept purchase orders for the Saleforce.com plugin?
Unfortunately we can't process plugin purchases based on a purchase order
Are there snapshots which represent the user interface results once these plugins are installed?

Can we use a hosted instance of JIRA or do we need our own instance?
As long as you have administrative access to the JIRA instance to install the plugin, you can use either method
Will the Salesforce.com plugin operate if our JIRA system is not exposed to the internet?
For the JIRA to Salesforce.com integration, the JIRA server must have an available Internet connection in order to make remote Salesforce.com calls.
For the Salesforce.com to JIRA integration, it is not a requirement that JIRA be publicly accessible via the Internet. For issues to be displayed in Salesforce.com, JIRA must be available from the user's computer.
Does the Salesforce.com plugin support integration with the 'IdeaExchange' module?
The Salesforce.com plugin currently uses the AppExchange server and unfortunately does not support 'IdeaExchange' products
What direction is the communication between JIRA and Salesforce.com?
The communication between JIRA and Salesforce.com is one way and occurs from JIRA to Salesforce.com
Can the Salesforce.com plugin integrate data from custom fields/tabs?
Synchronisation between Custom Fields in JIRA mapped to Custom Fields in Salesforce.com is a feature of the plugin
Is it possible to transfer 'Contacts and Accounts' from Salesforce.com to JIRA?
This transfer is possible provided that a Salesforce.com Case exist
Can I trigger a synchronisation of 'Contacts and Accounts' without the use of Cases and manual user intervention?
The Salesforce.com plugin does not support the above functionality at this current time
Is the following scenario possible with the Salesforce.com plugin?
- Our customer calls support, and a support engineer enters information in Salesforce.com
- The support engineer investigates and triages the issue. If he/she determines it is a bug and needs to be escalated to engineering, he/she can do so by creating JIRA case from SalesForce using this plug-in
- Development fixes the issue, updates the JIRA case which, in turn, updates the SalesForce ticket. Intermediate updates and if more information is needed from the customer can be tracked in JIRA and visible in the SalesForce.
- Support/Account team is notified that the issue is resolved in some indicated version and/or patch
