Management Team

Our Management Team

The CustomWare management team brings together over 100 years of technical delivery and operational management expertise. This combination of skills enables us to build and maintain long-term relationships with our customers and our team.


Robert Castaneda (CTO, Founder)

Robert is our Chief Technologist, working with our customers and partners to set and execute on our technical direction.  Robert founded CustomWare Asia Pacific in 2001. He used his background in aligning technical innovation with business results to define the technical strategy and vision for the company.

Prior to founding CustomWare, Robert spent two years in the US delivering consulting services for BEA Systems and webMethods. He has also worked extensively throughout Asia.

Robert was a Software Engineer and key team member at Borland, where he worked on various products including AppCenter, a distributed management, instrumentation and monitoring tool for EJB/J2EE and CORBA applications. He is an active member of the Java and J2EE communities, co-authoring and contributing to several leading books and publications.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Computing Science (Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.


Andrew Tucker (Consulting Director)

Andrew Tucker is our Consulting Director and leads the consulting practice, joining the CustomWare team in 2008. Prior to CustomWare, Andrew established Artec Computer Systems in 1992. Under his guidance as Managing Director, he was responsible for the successful growth and direction of the organisation, recording year on year growth in excess of 100% per annum, Artec was a Multi-million Rand Company having 7 branches throughout South Africa. Artec was successfully sold in 2006. At the same time Andrew moved to Australia and took the role as a Director at Datacom Systems to help grow the Systems business.

In 2007 Andrew took on the responsibility to build a Microsoft practice nationally for Oakton which was completed in 2008, at which time he joined CustomWare as the Consulting Director.

He has over sixteen years of experience in the consultative IT services and will be responsible for the growth of the Consulting practice for CustomWare.

Andrew holds a Diploma in Computer Informatics (honours), Witwatersrand, including MAP and EDP (first class) from University of Witwatersrand Business School focusing on the delivery of service in Information Technology.


Wesley Chow (CFO)

Wesley is our Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for company finance and operations. Wesley joined CustomWare in May 2008 and with over 15 years experience in APAC regional roles he has extensive financial management experience in the IT industry.

Prior to joining CustomWare, Wesley was the Senior Finance Director for BEA Systems APAC based in Hong Kong and held other senior APAC finance positions with Rational Software, AC Nielsen and Ross Systems.

Wesley is a Chartered Accountant, with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Finance & Information Systems) from the University of NSW, Sydney, Australia


Chuan Chuien Lim (Malaysia Country Manager)

Chuan Chuien (CC) is our Malaysia Country Manager and Technical Director, joining CustomWare in November 2005.  Prior to joining CustomWare, CC had several technical and management positions in the SE Asia region, including the position of Technical Account Manager in the webMethods Asia Pacific regional consulting group.
CC has over 8 years of industry related experience including 3.5 years of webMethods consulting and project management experience.

CC holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science (Honours) from the University of Staffordshire, U.K.     


Donal English (Sales Director)

Donal is our Sales Director and is responsible for driving the overall direction of Sales. Donal joined CustomWare in July 2007, with over 20 years experience in sales, marketing and business development at leading technology organisations.

Prior to joining CustomWare, Donal was a regional sales manager at webMethods with responsibility for sales of webMethods Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Business Process Management (BPM) solutions in New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand. Donal was previously an Account Director with Oracle Corporation for eight years. In this role, he was responsible for driving customer success in the areas of CRM, process manufacturing, supply chain management, data warehousing and business Intelligence solutions.

Donal holds a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) from the University of South Australia and a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland.


Matt Wennersten (New Zealand Country Manager)

Matt is our New Zealand Country Manager and Cast Iron consulting practice Manager, with responsibility for Cast Iron implementations throughout Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Matt joined CustomWare in September 2007. Prior to CustomWare, Matt was a Senior Consultant specializing in systems integration for Consulting Group International, a Melbourne based supply-chain management firm.

Matt has been working in the IT industry since 1994, implementing packaged applications, custom client-server products and integration infrastructure for clients in the retail, logistics, defense and manufacturing sectors. He has worked throughout the United States, Australia and New Zealand, for companies including webMethods, American Management Systems and Descartes Systems Group.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from Cambridge University and a Masters of Education (Mathematics) from George Washington University.


Glenn Philpott (Delivery Manager)

Glenn is our Delivery Manager and is responsible for covering Corporate Services programs across the Asia Pacific region. Glenn joined CustomWare in January 2008 and has over 10 years experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry

Prior to joining CustomWare, Glenn gained experience in a variety of corporate and managed service environments, including Hutchison (three), Vodafone and Ericsson. His most recent roles have included the leadership of business and project teams for the successful delivery of software applications and Web based products and services, including experience across Call Centres, BI, CRM, warehousing, and retail sales systems.

Glenn holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Honours) from Sydney University along with a Masters of Business Administration (Technology Management) from Deakin University along with receiving PMP accreditation from the Project Management Institute.
