Our Public Bookmarks
From time to time we come across good technical articles that we wish to share with others. In a community, this sort of sharing drives the knowledge improvement of its members; very helpful, very powerful.
We use del.icio.us, it is a powerful social bookmarking services for storing and sharing bookmarks, you can read more about it here. We have a public del.icio.us bookmark at:

Contribute Bookmarks
In order to contribute bookmarks, you need a del.icio.us account. Please register one if you do not have it yet. The rest of this section explains the guidelines to follow when you contribute a bookmark.
Contribute a Bookmark
Whenever you post a bookmark to del.icio.us, you will be asked to provide the following fields:
- URL – The URL of the page you're saving
- Name – The display name of the bookmark, usually the title of the page being saved.
- Notes – Description of the bookmark, for instance, an excerpt of a good Java article. Fill in this, so that your bookmark makes sense to us.
- Tags – The categories which you want the bookmark to be tagged with. The practice is also known as labeling or folksonomy. In order to share your bookmark with us, please include the label for:myjug.
Please fill in all of the fields above, avoid using ugly short forms such as "dis page talks bout java exceptions", keep it professional and consistent as you are not the only person reading it.
You will not see the bookmark in our public del.icio.us page until an administrator has verified and saved it. You however can see it from the MyJUG Bookmarks (Contributed by Public) feed.
For Administrators: Please keep label names as generic as possible while saving a bookmark. For instance, avoid creating multiplerelated labels such as "axis, soap, wsdl", use "web-service" and/or "soap" instead.
Contribute a Job Advertisement
The guidelines to contribute a job advertisement are similar with those explained above. Except that, you should save a job advertisement specific to Java technology but not other webpages or spams. Please also do not share with us with a job listing or directory site, we want something static not dynamic.
- URL – The URL of the job advertisement
- Name – The position being offered and the company name or any other related information, e.g. "Senior Java Developers - Microsoft Corporation (KLCC) - $5000~$8000USD/mo". If you have too many to write here, don't, put them into the Notes field instead.
- Notes – More details about the job.
- Tags – The categories which this job advertisement falls under. Please include the label for:myjug.jobs
Likewise, you will not see the bookmark until it is saved by the administrator. Please see it from MyJUG Job Ads (Contributed by Public) feed instead.
